The City Planning Department
The City Planning Department also known as the Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator (OCPDC) is Puerto Princesa City’s primary planning and development coordinating agency and instrumental in designing the City’s physical and socioeconomic framework. Specifically, the Department prepares plans for the social, economic, environment, physical, and institutional development of the City. It is also involved in the preparation of development plans together with other city departments and other government agencies through continuing studies, research, and sectoral consultations.
The Department serves as the secretariat and technical arm of the City Development Council, headed by the City Mayor and composed of all Punong Barangays and designated representatives of non-government organizations/people’s organizations (NGOs/POs), which recommends and approves City Development Plans and Investment Programs prior to submission to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
